Every August, the vibrant community of Grandbay Dominica erupts with festive music, food, and energy with Breakfast Fete —now in its 9th year. This year’s Breakfast Fete Weekend carries a deeper meaning and an even stronger sense of community. The theme color for 2025 is brown, chosen in heartfelt tribute to Sherwin D. Brown, a beloved member of the Breakfast Fete family and the wider Dominican community. Sherwin, who tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident, was known for his altruism, joy, and unwavering support for the fete. His passing touched hearts island-wide, and in celebration of his life, “Brown 4 Brown” is the spirit we embrace. As a way to honor his memory and joyful legacy, attendees are asked to wear brown—a symbolic gesture that turns this year’s celebration into something more: a moment of remembrance, respect, and unity. Breakfast Fete—a full-blown, morning-to-afternoon “people’s fete” where locals and visitors party together in true Caribbean style. Now in its 9th year, the 2025 edition promises to be unforgettable—not just for the music and madness, but for the meaning behind it.
